Approve Time records

Introduction

This is an advance feature which allows the account owner to approve time records.

It can be used to:

  • Approve time records of employees or team members.
  • Supervise the work of team members.
  • Review updated time records .

Note that once the time record is approved, it will not be possible to edit.

1. Activating the Approval time record feature:

This action can only be performed by the account owner and administrator within the Account settings.

A) Click on "Settings", which is located at the top right side of the screen.



B) Select "TIME TRACKING settings" on the the sub-menu.



C) Select the Features Tab.



D) In the Time records approvals section, press on the "Off" button and select "Turn on"


2. Approving time records:

This action can only be performed by the account owner and administrator and it should be done on its respective project:

A) Click on the "MANAGE" option in the main menu and then choose "Projects" in the sub-menu.


B) You will then see the list of projects; select the project you want to approve the time records of.



C) Select the “Project timesheet” tab

D) Select the time records to be approved.

You can filter the time record with "not approved" to make this process easier.

E) Click on the “Approve” button and select “Approve selected



3. Disapproving time records:

This action can be performed only by the account owner and administrator and should be done on its respective project:

A) Click on the "MANAGE" option in the main menu and then choose "Projects" in the sub-menu.


B) You will then see the list of projects; select the project you want to disapprove the time records of.



C) Select the “Project timesheet” tab.

D) Select the time records to be disapproved.

You can filter the time record with "not approved" to make this process easier.

E) Click on the “Approve” button and select “Cancel approval

4. Tips:

This is a practical feature which can be used for different situations.

  • Review the unpaid work by setting the paid time records as approved and get a quick view in the reports.
  • Supervise the daily work of your employees or team members by approving the time records of performed activities.

In order to have a complete view of the approved and non-approved time records in the Reports, proceed as follows:

A) Click on the "REPORTS" option in the main menu and then choose "complete report" in the sub-menu.



B) In the Filters panel, from the approved field select “Only approved” or “Only not approved” as needed.

C) Press the “Apply” button
